Matching The "Volume" Of Jeff Beck

The Jeff Beck Dream - 10/21/2023
I am on stage to play guitar, and my brother is there to roadie for me. I need a chair to sit on on stage, and he can't find one and we have a disagreement about the fact. I am the warm up act before Jeff Beck plays, and Jeff heard about me needing a chair so he gives me one of his very nice chairs to use, so me and my brother quit bickering about it.
But now I notice I do not have a guitar cable, so now we start fussing about that and Jeff Beck is side stage just hanging and shaking his head at how unprofessional me and my brother are, and it is already 30 minutes into my one hour time slot to play! Someone said maybe there is a guitar cable backstage so I go backstage, and there is a bar and people at tables. Up on the wall is an odd looking cable rack, and the cables are covered by the rack except the plugs at each end, and the cables are straight full length behind the rack. I see a guitar plug at one end of the rack but not at the other end of the rack so no complete cable for my guitar. I am walking around the bar playing my guitar without an amplifier but my playing is so perfect and I think, "Oh well, too bad about that."
I never made it on stage. I was just playing unplugged in the bar, but I was the only one who could hear it. I wasn't nervous, just no chair to start with and then no cable. I wondered why I didn't borrow one of Jeff's?
The meaning of this dream was that no one will hear us prophetically if the Lord Jesus Christ Himself does not speak through us and empower us. Jeff Beck represented the Lord here, and if we dare to "sit in His seat," then we will need to "play" with the same power, volume and intensity. This will only come by giving ourselves to increased fasting and prayer. It will most certainly not happen by accident.
I read a piece on Jeff Beck once, and it said how the first time he heard an electric guitar there were others around who were criticizing it, but he replied, "That's for me." Along with being a good musician, many of his sound innovations ultimately had to do with increasing the volume of the guitar. According to Wiki, he was the first to popularize the effect of distortion, and this become the basis of nearly all rock music for the next five decades.
Beck has been consistently ranked in the top five of Rolling Stone and other magazines' lists of the greatest guitarists. He was often called a "guitarist's guitarist"... According to musicologist and historian Bob Gulla, Beck is credited for popularising the use of audio feedback and distortion on guitar. During his short time with the Yardbirds, Beck's experimentation with feedback, distortion, and "fuzz" tone "pushed the band into directions that would open the door for psychedelic rock" while "jolting British rock forward", according to Gulla.

Audio feedback and distortion took an electric guitar, which was already louder than acoustics, and amplified it exponentially. Feedback used a loop to in effect "make it scream," and distortion increased the gain to "make it growl." Both made electric guitars that much louder.
By contrast, the Lord is our Innovator. He can make our voice "louder" in the earth than we can imagine, and desires to use us as "instruments" through which He can, whether through increasingly accurate prophecy, dreams, and visions or whatever the case. But if we do not increasingly plug into His power in order to do so, we may find out when all is said and done that we spoke the truth without anyone even hearing it.
The brother who sent me the above frequently receives dreams himself, and while the dream may have been referring to him more specifically, it applies to us all in a way. We might be able to "play" very well, and be accurate in the things we prophesy, but will anyone hear it? If we truly desire to be heard, we will need His supernatural empowerment, and this will only come through ever-increasing fasting, petitions, and prayer that the power of Almighty God manifest itself through us.
Blessings In Christ,
Hidden In Him
