Be a part of something great

The book of Joel prophesies that God will raise up an end-time army, and they will prophesy, dream dreams and see visions. They will destroy much of Satan's work before the Antichrist finally arises, restore hope in the power of God, and usher in the end-time harvest. In preparation, this community is designed to be a home for everyone called to be part of that army, and fulfill His end-time work.

My Journey To Hell (A Dream)

maxresdefault-2.jpg

So this starts off with me being in a pure white place. I saw a door and I knew I was supposed to go through the door and so I did. As soon as I did I was in Hell. The heat was so bad my shirt was glued to my skin from sweat, and the thirst I had was so intense unlike anything I had ever experienced before.

To my right I saw people who were forced to walk on the hot ground searing their feet in chains and they were not allowed to rest at all. To my left I saw the Lake of fire and above it a cage where people were at random times dropped into it then pulled back up, and at a random times dropped in again.

Up ahead I saw Jesus waiting for me in a chair and i went up to sit on his lap, I was very thirsty but for some reason instead I asked him for bread. He pulled out some bread for me and I ate it. No sooner had I done this did a demon appear and saw me. He became insanely angry and lunged at me but Jesus protected me from it.

Then I was suddenly seeing how the people were all crying out to Jesus to save them from this Hell but with a very sad look He shook his head no, for it was too late for them. Then I was whisked away from Him by some unseen hand and placed in the cage that was above the Lake of Fire and it began to drop into the lake but I said to myself, "I trust Jesus" and then suddenly I was no longer in the cage but instead Jesus and I were walking in a pure black place, and I saw His beard was for some reason made out of guns. We were walking and saw three men talking and I went to them saying, "Look, Look. It is Jesus," and they scoffed and said “Yeah right whatever,” and Jesus walked to them with open arms saying my brothers have you lost your faith? And then suddenly they transformed into three evil spirits and tried to take me but Jesus became very angry and said “Let him go.”

Then it changed, and I was suddenly in an elevator with what appeared to be Death, who looked like a grim reaper and two other men. Death was cold and had no emotion and the two men I was with seemed to be excited or something, but the elevator stopped and opened into a pure dark place and Death had a desk he went to, while me and the two men went to his desk as well. But the two men changed. One on my left became very old and malnourished, weak and very skinny. The other man became very agonized and his misery and agony came from him, like black smoke and small demons were feeding off it. I looked to Death and asked when can I go to Heaven and he said “You cannot. You have to stay here forever. “ I thought to myself that is strange, I thought for sure I was on the right path and I said to him I think this is a test. He stopped what he was doing and asked what kind of test do you think this is? I responded a test of my heart and my faith and I slammed my hand on his desk and cried out I choose to trust in Jesus Christ! Then suddenly I was atop a massive pillar that was extremely high, and there was below me a pool of living water and I heard a voice say, "It is time to take a leap of faith." And so I jumped and as I went into the water I became naked and saw that there were other pillars and other pools of water, but no one was there and this is where the dream ends.

This extended dream is about the Hell we subject ourselves to by giving into our fears, and if we refuse to die to ourselves we can potentially end up in the real Hell when we die. But "Death" to self is here personified as something we either embrace by "taking a leap of faith" or not, as it is scary not knowing what will become of us. But self is something we all set on a pedestal, hence the pillar you are transported to that you have to jump off of into the unknown.

What the two men change into is what we will become if we do not, however. One is weak and malnourished, meaning his physical health will suffer. The other experiences misery and agony, meaning his emotional health will suffer due to anxieties and fears, and the demons feed off of these for as scripture says "fear has torment." The word of God says "He has not given us a Spirit of fear, but of Love, Power, and a Sound Mind," so the exhortation here is to set aside all self-fear because it is not of God.

The pool of water represents water baptism in the sense of dying to self and being born anew into a new man. All the other pillars with pools of water are for others who will have to make the same choice. Each of us has a decision to make on if we will die to self or not, but it is the only way to true Life in Christ.

This passage becomes extremely interesting in light of the previous. The primary reason we need to die to ourselves is because the Lord knows we have spiritual enemies who will exploit others in every way they can to oppose us, bring us pain, cause us sufferings and anxieties, and even threaten our lives and spiritual, mental and emotional welfare. In short, we have to be prepared to walk with Him in dark places, where men will scoff at our testimony and even at the God who loves us. Because we are walking with Him and bearing witness, evil spirits will assume influence over others around us - even family and friends - and they will "try to take us" from Him, and from our walk with Him.

The good news is that in dying to self the Lord is free to command such evil spirits without our hindrance, and rebuke them for the things they are attempting to do in our lives.

This vision reminded me of another one in some ways. You might like reading this one as well. There are others that have been given to the body of Christ on this theme, but this is one I already had in print:

This was very insightful and thank you for explaining it, I also was wondering about the dying to self as it seems that it is what I am going through now. Sorry for the late reply I had another seizure and they almost sent me to the hospital. But I was wondering do you know what the scene where J asked Jesus for bread was about?

I think it represents asking Him for what you needed, which was revelation from God on how to avoid that Hell rather than simply some relief while being in the midst of it.

"The words I speak to you, they are Spirit and they are Life."

Why did Jesus prophesy, heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons? He performed signs and wonders to confirm the word (Mark 16:20), because it has the power to do more than just save from death. It has the power to grant eternal life (John 6:63). Scripture promises that He will confirm His word through signs and wonders once again (Joel 2:28), and what we teach may determine whether He does so through us or not, so study becomes extremely important. Please join us in studying verse by verse through entire books of the Bible. Understanding each verse in its theological and historical context as led by the Spirit is key to unlocking what the word actually teaches, and revealing what the Spirit is still speaking to the churches in these last days.
