The Effect Of Fireworks & Artillery
Around the time we were building this site, I had the following dream. I knew what it meant upon waking up. This kind of ministry will mean different things to different people. For those who were friends of God, dream ministry is like watching fireworks going off. It's a wonder to behold when things prophesied come to pass, sometimes many years after the fact, to where you just marvel at it. But to the enemies of God, dream ministry can be like a weapon potentially posing a threat, in that it exposes the works of darkness, and can "blow things out of the water" so to speak, as the following dream implied:
The Fireworks & Artillery Dream
I was standing outside with the Lord at night, and He had what looked like a gun to shoot fireworks with. It looked almost like a shotgun. It was double-barreled, but made to fit fireworks canisters instead of shotgun shells. So He pointed it to the sky and I heard the shot, and then saw the fireworks go off high in the sky soon thereafter. He did it again, and again I watched as the plumes opened up miles in the sky. But then he fired another one, and this one didn't go off. Instead I heard it fall back to the earth, descending into a small creek that was just to the left of us about 30 yards away. There were a few other people standing between the creek and us, and although it didn't explode, it came in like an artillery shell and there was a huge splash in the creek as water shot up into the air. As I stood there watching it happen, I remember saying, "Wow." The Lord was behind me, and He just chuckled at that a little bit. Then I remembered I had a cat who liked to play in that creek, and suddenly became a little worried. Anything living in that creek when the shell came in might have been hurt, so I was now hoping my cat was alright. Then I woke up.
I recently received a text from a sister from another forum, and it appears dream ministry will again need to be employed to expose the darkness, and bring to light things the enemy will want to keep concealed. But the thing we have to keep in mind is the last part of the dream. Though I won't go into detail, the Lord does not play around forever. If enemies persist in seeking to seduce His people and play games to deceive them, the day may come when judgment has to be carried out. It can be physical injury, loss of a loved one, a car wreck or some other tragedy, but they will have to be awakened to the fact that they are on the wrong side of the fence, and "playing with fire" so to speak.
In such instances, servants of God must stay in a Spirit of Love, and always mindful of those who could potentially get caught in the crossfire; people we care for, who could become collateral damage in the spiritual war. The early church likely battled with this dilemma when judgment came upon individuals in their congregations, such as when the woman Jezebel was warned that her own life and those of her family could soon be in danger if she did not repent.
20 Nevertheless I have a few things against you, because you allow that woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess, to teach and seduce My servants to commit sexual immorality and eat things sacrificed to idols.21 I gave her time to repent of her sexual immorality, and she did not repent. 22 Indeed I will cast her into a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her into great tribulation, unless they repent of their deeds. 23 I will kill her children with death, and all the churches will know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts, and will give to each one of you according to your works (Revelation 2:20-23).
It is worth noting here that this warning to the woman came through a prophetic vision, and likely as a precedent for the Lord doing so again in the end-times. But there were likely friends of that family who were potentially hurt if that judgment finally came to pass, and this is something we may have to keep in mind as well. It's why the Lord is patient, and does not simply bring judgment frivolously, or without first doing everything in His power to get others to turn back from their sins before it's too late, and some form of judgment has become absolutely necessary.
This was the meaning of my being concerned about the cat, as it can be distressing to witness certain things taking place. But this is why the New Testament writers warned against hardening our hearts. Experiencing and/ or witnessing the judgment of God being carried out upon individuals can be tough to take, but those who belong to the Lord trust Him, and know He is ultimately a Protector of His people and will not allow them to be seduced or deceived forever.
3 Consider Him who endured such hostility from sinners against Himself, lest you become weary and discouraged in your souls.... 5 you have forgotten the exhortation which speaks to you as to sons, saying, “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; 6 For whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.” 7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?... 11 now no chastening seems to be enjoyable for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness in those who have been trained by it. (Hebrews 12:3-11)
