Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great

The book of Joel prophesies that God will raise up an end-time army, and they will prophesy, dream dreams and see visions. They will destroy much of Satan's work before the Antichrist finally arises, restore hope in the power of God, and usher in the end-time harvest. In preparation, this community is designed to be a home for everyone called to be part of that army, and fulfill His end-time work.

The Disappointment If Water Never Flows

2021_05_04_water-1000x580.jpg

Sometimes scripture describes the Holy Spirit as an outpouring, such as in a few places where it is compared to "the latter rains" promised to occur in the end-times.

7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, waiting patiently for it until it receives the early and latter rain. 8 You also be patient. Establish your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is at hand.

Though this will be discussed more in future Bible studies, the above passage describes how the New Testament church had received the outpouring at Pentecost but was expecting an even greater outpouring to come before the Lord's return, one that would be like the latter rains in Israel and usher in a great harvest. When the latter rains did NOT come in the natural, however, it was a tremendous let down, and spelled disaster for the nation when harvest time finally came around.

This same let down can occur in our own lives spiritually when we do not experience what we expected was coming. The following dream tells the story of what happened at a previous forum I was once involved in, and how the Spirit of God unfortunately does not always flow like it is supposed to, leading to disappointment. The lessons learned from these types of occurrences are important, and need to be studied so that the same mistakes are not made over and over again.

When a friend sent me the following dream months ago, it took me awhile to figure out which "house" (i.e. Christian community) it was talking about. A subsequent dream received on the same day seemed to answer this question. It was a Christian forum I was once a member of. When I had first joined it was a wonderful place. There were a number of Charismatics there, and some had been posting about dreams they were receiving. So I joined and created a thread on dreams and interpretation, and a number of people started responding. I soon found out there were even Charismatics on the staff there, so I thought the sky was the limit as far as the potential the site had for showing people the gifts of the Spirit were alive and well, and in operation. At the time I thought, "This is the place for me. I love it here."

Unfortunately while I eventually managed to get closer to others and even the management in that community, for whatever reason, things didn't turn out as I had planned and it became a disappointment, as the following dream implied.

Dried Up Faucets Dream

I am trying to figure out why no water is coming out of the facets in a house's plumbing. I take off one faucet and no water comes out. A young man is watching me work and says, "Why don't you get a plumber to look at the problem, you don't know anything about plumbing." I told him, "But look how easy the faucets are removed" as I took another one off. At this faucet, very small rocks start dribbling out of the pipe, and I told the young man to stand back because water might soon come rushing out full force after the rocks cleared. But the little rocks stopped coming out of the pipe, and the water never did flow. End of Dream.

There were two members of staff at that forum in particular who ran the place. The chief Admin, a woman, was obviously Charismatic and the other was certainly Charismatic-leaning. I got to know the man quite well and took him to be a good friend. I would often help identify through discernment when there were nefarious elements present on the forum, and we would weed them out together. The sister always seemed busy, so I never got a chance to know her very well, but eventually we struck up a conversion and seemed to hit it off. But there was a problem. What started out as hope that prophetic interaction would come from our friendships never materialized. I sensed like something was supposed to happen, but nothing did, and eventually I had to just move on. The two "faucets" I was hoping would gush with spiritual water never did, and it was something of a let down.

Maybe it was because the enemy entered in. After initially being so blessed to be there, the Charismatics began leaving one by one and eventually all but a few were left. Then came the infiltration of Calvinist Cessationists, rabid Unitarians and Gnostics, and Jehovahs Witnesses en masse, and within a few years it had degenerated into a community characterized more by doctrinal strife and spiritual contentiousness than any move of the Spirit. Even I became part of the melee eventually, and in trying to fend it off became a part of the problem instead of part of the solution.

The mistake I made was just what this dream described. I wasn't a spiritual "plumber," that was the Lord's job. I was just a novice and didn't know how to truly fix the problem. Only the Lord would have known how to, so I should have spent more time calling on Him to come and fix it Himself. I thought merely developing closer friendships with the leaders in that community and getting them to "open up" might have done it, but it didn't. I should have called upon the Lord in prayer, so the responsibility was partly mine for what happened.

What happened because of the mistakes is somewhat tragic, as I will describe in Part 2. But as Part 3 will also state in follow up, there is still hope, and I am believing the Lord Jesus Christ that something good is going to come from it all still.

Blessings in Christ,

"The words I speak to you, they are Spirit and they are Life."

Why did Jesus prophesy, heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons? He performed signs and wonders to confirm the word (Mark 16:20), because it has the power to do more than just save from death. It has the power to grant eternal life (John 6:63). Scripture promises that He will confirm His word through signs and wonders once again (Joel 2:28), and what we teach may determine whether He does so through us or not, so study becomes extremely important. Please join us in studying verse by verse through entire books of the Bible. Understanding each verse in its theological and historical context as led by the Spirit is key to unlocking what the word actually teaches, and revealing what the Spirit is still speaking to the churches in these last days.
