Older Vessels, Waiting To Be Unearthed

Scripture speaks of believers being vessels. This imagery runs throughout the Bible, from broken potsherds in the Old Testament to "vessels of honor" in the New, or in other words fine vases used to decorate the mantle of the Lord's "house," and occasionally brought out to distribute fine wine or oil with. But the metaphor always contains the implication that we are containers into which the Lord desires to pour His Spirit, that we may be used to give living water (or "sweet water" as James 3:11 puts it in the KJV) to His people.
A friend of mine had a dream recently that spoke of finding vessels waiting to be unearthed; vessels that have been hidden away, though they were still "in great shape" and available for the Lord's use.
I have found bottles buried in the ground. I am standing in the hole with the bottles in layers next to me. The bottles are all straight up and orderly like they were carefully placed in the ground and dirt was packed or poured around them a layer at a time. No broken bottles all of them are in great shape and various kinds but most of them are large, old fashioned soda pop bottles. I am happy about finding them. They were like on shelves but without the shelves to divide them, just dirt around each bottle. Hundreds of them.
These bottles represent vessels the Lord is going to "unearth" in the days ahead, and put back into circulation as His servants. They have been "shelved" as no longer useful. My guess is it's because they were deemed to be too "old," much like we now view old glass bottles in the era of cheap, disposable plastic. But this dream appears to have been a reference to the scripture which states, "In the last days, I will pour out My Spirit upon all flesh, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams" (Joel 2:28).
God is going to pour His Spirit into these vessels once more. Many are depicted as old "soda bottles," meaning they were designed to contain a sweetness, which in dreams often relates to pleasure. It means they are going to be put back into circulation for spiritual use, filled with the Spirit, and then used to distributes that which ministers kindness, sweetness, pleasantness, joyfulness, and love to His people. In the past, "dirt" was thrown on them as if they had little value, and worth nothing but to simply be buried and forgotten, much like the world often finds no value in older people. But the Lord is wiser than that, and designed human beings to have a purpose, in life and in Him, until the day they die. As a result, many will have the opportunity to minister life and joy to others once more.
If you know an older person in Christ who feels like they no longer have a use anymore, encourage them with this message. The dream suggests there are hundreds waiting to be "unearthed" again, and He has a purpose for them all. He desires that every one of us be used of Him until the day we leave this life for good.
Blessings in Christ,
