Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great

The book of Joel prophesies that God will raise up an end-time army, and they will prophesy, dream dreams and see visions. They will destroy much of Satan's work before the Antichrist finally arises, restore hope in the power of God, and usher in the end-time harvest. In preparation, this community is designed to be a home for everyone called to be part of that army, and fulfill His end-time work.

Instituted By God

'Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God. Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves. For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended. For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer. Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience. This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing. Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor. ' (Romans 13:1-7)

Every governing authority is instituted by God, therefore whenever we rebel against the law, we are rebelling against God. This includes highway laws, public conduct laws, respecting rights, etc. All laws are in place to keep everyone safe, and all authority is to be respected. When we follow the rules, deeming them all as important, we will be commended and will keep a clear conscience. If we disobey the law, then we are held accountable by God and the law. Sometimes we unintentionally break a law, for example when we miss a speed limit sign, but we should always be careful to follow the law. I remember a time recently when I was listening to the book of Romans while driving and right after I heard this verse, I looked at my speedometer and realized that I needed to slow down. Thank you, Lord, for bringing that to my attention!! As soon as we realize that we have messed up, we should fix it, but it is crucial to pay attention to avoid making those mistakes to begin with. Sometimes I wish our vehicles had a built-in sensor to tell us what the speed limit is because there are times when we are not sure until we drive for a while. Hey…that sounds like a good invention that would make someone rich!! As believers, we are expected to be law-abiding citizens who respect authority.

I see so many Christians fighting over politics instead of simply seeking to be good citizens. I guess they see it as yet another form of entertainment, and the news media certainly makes things out to be that way. But what Christians are supposed to be doing is not entertaining themselves at leaders expense, no matter who they are or what form of government...

I had an unsaved friend complain at Christian forums about new rules they were setting in place about the Politics forum being a place where Christians should be an example, like in any other place. His reply was that it is impossible. To me, it certainly is if no one teaches and abides by scripture. But if we do once again, maybe people can start remembering what original Christianity was actually about.

Blessings, and thanks again, Krystal.

Amen! I agree. WE are to be setting an example of respecting authority and should not engage in insulting and disrespecting our authority, no matter our political offiliation.

What if this law said we are not to attend church services with other Christians ?

In that case, God would want us to choose to obey His Word. The only exception for us obeying the government is if they tell us to go against HIs Word.

"The words I speak to you, they are Spirit and they are Life."

Why did Jesus prophesy, heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons? He performed signs and wonders to confirm the word (Mark 16:20), because it has the power to do more than just save from death. It has the power to grant eternal life (John 6:63). Scripture promises that He will confirm His word through signs and wonders once again (Joel 2:28), and what we teach may determine whether He does so through us or not, so study becomes extremely important. Please join us in studying verse by verse through entire books of the Bible. Understanding each verse in its theological and historical context as led by the Spirit is key to unlocking what the word actually teaches, and revealing what the Spirit is still speaking to the churches in these last days.
