The Need To Know Scripture Accurately

When interpreting dreams, it is sometimes paramount to understand the scriptures that relate to them accurately or you will never get an accurate interpretation of the dream either. The following is a case in point, taken from a dream we received about three months ago, when this forum was still in the process of being built.
Sharp Dressed Men Dream - 3/13/2024
Subject: The Founders of SWF
One of my friends is trying to put two screws into a cork board in the proper spots to hang something in that spot. My first friend is dressed in a tuxedo while he is putting the screws in the board, but he fails to get the screws in the proper place and gives up. Now a second friend dressed in a tuxedo also tries to put the screws in the proper place and he fails too. Now a third friend also attired in a tuxedo tries really hard to get the screws in the proper place, he breaks out in a sweat as he tries with all his acumen to accomplish the task but he fails too, but he is smiling even if unable to do the job. End of dream.
The one viewing this scene was the Lord, with the meaning being that He had "dressed" each of us in the things of the Spirit by granting us dreams that were prophesying a number of things, but as of yet we still had no website to "post" them on. Hence the symbolism of us wanting to "hang" or post something, but being unable to yet.
What actually keyed off this interpretation, however - in particular the part about being "sharply dressed" - was an accurate understanding of 1 Corinthians 12, which speaks of members in the body who were not receiving much recognition being nevertheless "clothed upon with greater honor" by the Spirit of God.
1 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be ignorant... there are many members, and yet one body. 21 And the eye cannot say to the hand, “I have no need of you”; nor again the head to the feet, “I have no need of you.” 22 No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary. 23 And those members of the body which we think to be less honorable, on these we bestow greater honor; and our unpresentable parts have greater modesty, 24 but our presentable parts have no need. But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it, 25 that there should be no schism in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another. (1 Corinthians 12:1, 21-25)
Notice that He said, "But God composed the body, having given greater honor to that part which lacks it." The analogy was of clothing the uncomely parts of the physical body with fine garments that granted those parts a greater comeliness - a greater honor. But the application was to what was happening in the body of Christ spiritually. Those who seemed less important among them were nevertheless being used by the Holy Spirit to operate in tongues, prophecy, healing, word of knowledge and other gifts whereby they were being "clothed with greater honor" because the Spirit of God was using them supernaturally.
This, then, is what was meant by the dream. We were being "sharply dressed" by the Spirit of God, and yet couldn't find a way to show it just yet. This is also why the third friend (likely myself) was nevertheless smiling the entire time. I knew what God was doing among us, and how the Spirit of God was honoring us. So even if we couldn't show it yet, it was nice knowing that the Holy Spirit was making us "look good" and would do so in the eyes of the world before all was said and done.
This dream demonstrates the principle that sometimes you will only be able to arrive at an accurate interpretation of a dream if you know the accurate interpretation of scripture. Much of the modern church is lost when it comes to having a proper understanding 1st Corinthians 12 through 14, because they quickly lose sight of the fact that all three Chapters deal with the subject of the supernatural gifts throughout, as he states from the very outset above.
I have seen this principle coming into play on numerous other occasions, but one example should suffice to drive the point home. Accurate interpretation of dreams is sometimes made possible only through accurate understanding of the word of God.
