Being Hunted Down By Recurring Themes?
Ever wonder why some people have the same sorts of tragic things happen to them over and over again in life? Failed relationships, incessant financial set backs, or other trends that always seem to repeat themselves in their lives? It is sometimes no accident, but rather an orchestrated attack carried out by a demonic spirit who is targeting them to experience recurring themes, no matter where they might be or who they might come into association with.
Several years ago I was corresponding with a woman who always seemed to end up in bad marriage situations, where even the men who were at first kind and gentle to her eventually turned violent. Her latest husband was now turning violent as well, and she had been taking antidepressants until she got her spiritual life together, and the Lord finally led her to begin forgiving those who had abused her in the past. This is when He started giving her a gift of discernment, and she began seeing a dog-faced demon that seemed to be hunting her down, and manifesting itself through the men in her life.
Her testimony was as follows:
I have been in great spiritual warfare for the past few weeks. I have just recently began exhibiting the spiritual gift of discernment of spirits. I keep seeing one that I call Dog Face that is black with a, well, dog-like face. I first saw it sitting on the steps of a local church that is close to our house. Then I would see it in our house sometimes. We had manifestations like bed shaking and noises throughout the house... So at revival on July 9th, I went to the altar and forgave that man who hurt me so deeply. That was also the last day I needed my antidepressants. I haven't taken one or needed one since. No more depression. No more anxiety. No more panic attacks. No more compulsive hair pulling. I am healed. And that's when my spiritual gifts really began to wake up. I have always known I was sensitive to things of a spiritual nature, and months ago I realized I was beginning to see them. I didn't see angels until after my healing from depression, but how beautiful they are!
Anyway, I am wondering if anybody else has seen this dog-faced demon and what his assignment is? He seems to be common, and he goes when commanded, but he returns after a while even when commanded not to. Since my healing, it is no longer pursuing me, but it has been after my husband. I saw it behind my husband the other night when he was being affected also by a spirit of rage. The demon appeared to be enjoying seeing him so angry. For the record, when I was healed, my husband suddenly started to come under great attacks from the enemy. He was so grumpy, and it was emotionally draining to be near him. Last night we had a big talk and cleared everything up and prayed together. Who is Dog Face and what does he want?
Several people responded, and I told her that what it sounded like she was seeing was a spirit akin to Set, the ancient Egyptian god of war, violence and chaos. As I stated in my post:

The Egyptian gods were often half man, half animal, which is the way the demons of witchcraft and false religion appear according to believers who have witnessed them, and since Set was a god of violence it became obvious why the men in her life were eventually always succumbing to rage. This spirit was targeting her, and as such was continually seeking to manifest itself through whatever men she managed to get close to, so that no matter how the relationship started, they would all end up treating her the same way. The objective of spirits like this is that they want the victim to become convinced it is simply their "fate" in life, or worse yet, that they even somehow deserve it. It was driving this woman to depression and illness, and likely with the ultimate goal of causing her to commit suicide if things had ever gotten that far.
Have you ever experienced recurring negative themes in your life? Maybe people always end up betraying you, or cheating you financially, or certain tragedies keep repeating themselves over and over again? Understand that this is NOT your fate, it is only the fate that an evil spirit wants you to believe you are destined for. The answer is the same as what this woman found. Receiving deliverance often involves seeking the Lord for spiritual discernment. Those who receive it, whether through dreams or visions of what is happening in the spirit realm, come to realize it is because they are being spiritually hunted. At this point the power to break such a spirit's hold becomes much easier, because you know you are not warring against flesh and blood but against a spiritual enemy who is merely hiding behind your circumstances to make it all look like a coincidence when it is not.
As the apostle Paul stated, we war not against flesh and blood but against the principalities and powers of darkness, and when believers fully come to that realization they can finally begin breaking the cycle the Devil keeps putting them through, and finally receive true deliverance.
It should be noted in conclusion that sometimes such things can be ultimately taking place because someone has tried to place curses or spells on the victim, thereby authorizing such spirits to hunt them down with a specific end. The worship of Set was renewed in the late 20th century by Michael Aquino, founder of the Temple of Set, after he parted ways with the Church of Satan to found his own sect. Unfortunately for Satanists, the power of black magick is not able to keep things concealed from the servants of God forever either.
