Welcome to our community

Be a part of something great

The book of Joel prophesies that God will raise up an end-time army, and they will prophesy, dream dreams and see visions. They will destroy much of Satan's work before the Antichrist finally arises, restore hope in the power of God, and usher in the end-time harvest. In preparation, this community is designed to be a home for everyone called to be part of that army, and fulfill His end-time work.

Staying Alert In The Spiritual War, And Ever Ready To Withstand Attacks

screen-shot-2015-12-06-at-9-35-19-am.png

One of Satan's goals is to try and lure us into hatred and resentment. To this end he uses demonic spirits to incite the unsaved and even Christians to attack us, hoping to seduce us into a spirit bitterness; one which if harbored will quench the Spirit of Love, Joy and Peace within us. This is one of the reasons we are commanded by God to walk in forgiveness and long-suffering, especially towards our brethren in Christ. By training ourselves to reject such spirits we become stronger in the spiritual war, and capable at defeating the enemy's plans at every turn.

8 Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous; 9 not returning evil for evil or reviling for reviling, but on the contrary blessing, knowing that you were called to this, that you may inherit a blessing. 10 For “He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit. 11 Let him turn away from evil and do good. Let him seek peace and pursue it. 12 For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous. And His ears are open to their prayers. But the face of the Lord is against those who do evil.” 13 And who is he who will harm you if you become followers of what is good? 14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you are blessed. “And do not be afraid of their threats, nor be troubled.” 15 But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts, and always be ready to give a defense to everyone who asks you a reason for the hope that is in you, with meekness and fear; 16 having a good conscience, that when they defame you as evildoers, those who revile your good conduct in Christ may be ashamed. 17 For it is better, if it is the will of God, to suffer for doing good than for doing evil. (1 Peter 3:8-17)

"If he would love life and see good days" meant, "If you do not wish to potentially see great sufferings or even die at the hands of persecutors, train yourselves to refrain your tongue from speaking evil when evils are committed against you." Many were suffering and dying at the hands of Christ's enemies during New Testament times. Should they be seduced by demonic spirits into slandering or even cursing their persecutors put of spite, they in effect provided justification for the wicked treatment they received.

Peter was here writing primarily to Jewish Christians, but the apostle Paul wrote similar things to the Gentiles, attesting that stiff-necked Jews sometimes had "the poison of snakes" under their tongues, a reference to giving into the influence of demonic spirits:

As it has been written, there is no one who is righteous, not even one... there is no one practicing kindness. Their throat is an opened grave, and with their tongues they practice deceit. The poison of snakes is under their lips, by which their mouth is filled of bitterness and cursing. Their feet are swift to shed blood. Ruin and misery are in their ways, and the way of peace they did not know. There is no fear of God before their eyes. (Romans 3:10-18)

James said the same thing. Bitter and sweet water could both come from the mouths of Jewish believers if they they did not subjugate their tongues, and keep the "death-dealing poison" from pouring into others:

Every species of beasts, both of birds and of reptiles and of creatures of the sea, is being subdued and has been subdued by the human species. But no one among men is able to subdue the tongue. It is a restless evil, full of death-dealing poison. By this we bless our Lord and Father, and by this we curse men who have been made after the likeness of God. Out of the same mouth goes forth blessing and cursing. (James 3:7-10) *** add a few verses more, where the word "demonic" is used.

When believers allowed demons to use them and speak through them, it would cause bitterness to spread through congregations. Giving into such evil spirits was the opposite of holiness, for it constituted what the writer of Hebrews called becoming spiritually "defiled."

Pursue peace with all people, and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord: watching carefully lest anyone fall short of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up cause trouble, and by this many become defiled (Hebrews 12:14-16)

So the command here was to remain ready to give a courteous answer to anyone asking why we believed, and ready also to return blessings for curses to those who reviled us, that the mouths of our accusers might be stopped when they finally realized the truth.

Physical & Emotional Affliction

10 Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. 11 Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. 12 Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you. (Matthew 5:10-12)

Persecution and affliction can take many forms, both physical and emotional. In the above passage Jesus was referencing both. The pains of physical affliction were implied in the persecution they would suffer, but emotional affliction was also implied in their potentially "saying all manner of evil against you falsely." In other words, they would outright lie, and make up the wicked things to say about believers to try and put them to shame publicly and disgrace them, as a means of justifying beating them or torturing them.

The same thing happens on many Christian forums today. Believers get into heated debate over doctrine, and speak all manner of evil against one another, afflicting each other emotionally. I am no stranger to this, so I can personally testify to how unpleasant it can be. I recently logged onto a Christian forum I had not frequented in several years to maybe get reacquainted with some old friends. There was one brother who I had often been at odds with because he didn't believe in the gifts were still for today, and always downplayed things when I spoke of it. Purportedly there was never enough "real proof." Yet he seemed cordial enough, so I was sincerely hoping maybe he and I might make a new start, and greeted him warmly.

A few days later I posted a dream on behalf of a friend which suggested potential bombing incidents associated with the election might take place. Yet before the ink had barely dried on it, this same brother appeared and began commenting - not to me directly but to others - that such "prophecies" were simply crude sensationalism and nothing more; that it was merely an attempt on people's part to draw attention to themselves. I told him he ought to be ashamed of making accusations like that, to which he replied that it was not mine to judge.

Well, the following day revealed that it was not just sensationalism but that the dream had been from God, and that numerous bombing threats had been made at dozens of polling stations in the battleground States. There was now a temptation to ask my "friend" if it was just sensationalism now, but I refrained. It was not without a struggle, however, because it was admittedly two days of wanting to address what I regarded as hypocrisy and cowardice on his part for posting that stuff yet not being willing to say it directly to my face. This song rang in my ears for a few days in the aftermath, because his insults had stirred up a hornet's nest I was having a tough time dealing with.

Intro:
Walking around I hear the Earth seeking relief
I'm trying to find a reason to live
But the mindless clutter my path
Oh these thorns in my side
Oh these thorns in my side
I know I have something free
I have something so alive
I think they shoot 'cause they want it
I think they shoot 'cause they want it
I think they shoot 'cause they want it

Song:
I feel forces all around me
Come on raise your head
Those who hide behind the shadows
Live with all that's dead
Look at me, look at me,
Look at me, At least look at me when you shoot a bullet
Through my head, through my head, through my head

In my lifetime when I'm disgraced
Jealousy and lies
I laugh aloud 'cause my life
Has gotten inside someone else's mind
Look at me, look at me,
Look at me, At least look at me when you shoot a bullet
Through my head, through my head, through my head

Hey all I want is what's real
Something I touch and can feel
I'll hold it close and never let it go
Said why, why do we live life
With all this hate inside
I'll give it away 'cause I don't want it no more
Please help me find a place
Somewhere far away
Yes, I'll go and you'll never see me again

Look at me, Look at me
At least look at me when you shoot a bullet
Through my head, through my head, through my head
Look at me, Look at me
At least look at me when you shoot a bullet
Through my head, through my head, through my head
Look at me
Look at me

How The Gifts Can Prepare Us

It is easier to cope with Satan's attacks when you know they are coming, and you are at least able to prepare yourself in advance. Not long before the above incident took place, a friend sent me the following dream warning me and those I was in association with that my participation at that forum might be potentially dangerous, given that I might not handle everything like an innocent little lamb. This was a replacement dream where the brother who received it was placed into the role of my friends over at that forum.

We have a mountain lion cub living in the house with us and it is a rescue. It is like a pet to us now. Dad observes us treating the lion cub like a pet and tells us it is still a wild animal. I look at the lion cub laying there resting, and I stroke its fur and think "But it is just like a pet, nothing wild about it." End of dream.

The image was fitting, which I in turn sent on as well. I informed them - based on this dream - that while I would be as warm as possible, there was no guarantee I wouldn't go off on somebody some day and the fur and feathers be flying around all over the place. I had done it at that forum before. "Dad" was God the Father, and He warning them through this dream that I might not be as innocent-looking as I appeared.

Does the Lord expect us to be perfect? No He does not, and it's why Paul made allowance for the fact that as servants of God we can nevertheless sometimes become very angry with people. He simply taught that we must not allow that anger to take up permanent residence in our hearts, lest it turn into bitterness and resentment, and we make it the home for a demonic spirit rather than Him:

26 “Be angry, yet sin not.” Do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the Devil... 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but [only] that which is good to the use of edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God through whom you were sealed unto the day of redemption. 31 but let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. (Ephesians 4:26-31)

The truth is that those moving in the prophetic can be made aware of what is coming before it gets here, so that they are prepared to face it psychologically without being tripped up. Paul was forewarned warned by the prophet Agabus that he would be handcuffed and executed if he went back to Jerusalem, but Paul's response suggests he already knew this was coming, and was already prepared emotionally and psychologically to face what God was telling him to do.

7 And when we had finished our voyage from Tyre, we came to Ptolemais, greeted the brethren, and stayed with them one day. 8 On the next day we who were Paul’s companions departed and came to Caesarea, and entered the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him. 9 Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied. 10 And as we stayed many days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea. 11 When he had come to us, he took Paul’s belt, bound his own hands and feet, and said, “Thus says the Holy Spirit, ‘So shall the Jews at Jerusalem bind the man who owns this belt, and deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.’” 12 Now when we heard these things, both we and those from that place pleaded with him not to go up to Jerusalem. 13 Then Paul answered, “What do you mean by weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.” 14 So when he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, “The will of the Lord be done.” (Acts 21:7-14)

The truth is that those called of God may be asked to do many painful things. They may be called upon to face rejection even from family and friends, and those they hold most dear. But when the Spirit of God has prepared you, you know you will not be without a Comforter in the midst of it. He is a good God, and He will make a way of escape from temptation before we ever get there, so that we can continue walking with Him from victory to victory, no matter what the enemy might bring, or have prepared against us.

Questions And Applications

1. Have you ever been deeply offended by something posted by another member at a Christian forum, whether towards you or towards someone else? Without naming names or giving too many details, what came of the experience?

2. Are there types of attacks in particular to your person that you think can set you off?

3. Have you ever practiced what is called targeted dreaming or targeted prophecy, where you seek for the Lord to grant you revelation about a specific situation you need Divine guidance on?

How true is this, you’ve only got to go over to other forum, to see this, Brother, hope you didn’t mind me saying that, I’ve just joined.

I’ve started to get into arguments again over on that other forum, I think I’m going to stay here, it’s much more disciplined and arguing won’t be tolerated, I want to stay in Gods peace.

Well Greetings, Rita. Every forum has its own issues and problems. I am grateful for the friendships I have made at each of them. But each one has its own climate, its own rules, its own leadership and its own group of membership. Without naming the form (something I never do out of respect), that one in particular has a reputation as being what you would call "Wild West." Believe it or not, it's not nearly as bad as it was when it was my home forum several years ago, in part because I tend to bring the war with me, and things will invariably intensify when I start to become more active.

I'm very glad you joined here, and there are actually two forums you might be interested in. Is it ok if I start a private conversation with you? I no longer do such things without a sister's approval first.

Blessings in Christ, and it's wonderful seeing you here. Thank you for joining : )

Yes Brother, by all means.

When I joined that other forum, it was crazy, I too was crazy, lol...I must say, even though it’s calmed down a lot since I joined, the forum taught me a lot about people and also about myself, or that should read, God taught me a lot about people and myself on that forum..I will stay there as well, as I too have met some lovely people on there, who I also contact by email.

I may have spoken in haste about the other forum last night, as I’d just put someone on ignore after about a week of arguing over sin...came here and vented, so my apologies.

I’m looking forward to searching the scriptures with you all here, thank you for allowing my posts to stand..yes, by all means send me a pm.God Bless Brother and all.

Yeah, the forums will do that, LoL. You find out just how prepared you are to handle your fellow man...and how well they can handle yourself. :Smle

I saw the post you were talking about. Behold can be confrontational and simplistic, whereas Ronald is a bit more of a thinker, but when two people get to where they are resenting one another, it kinda just becomes a broken record like you were telling them in that thread, and they follow each other around just starting arguments all over again. Sad situation.

I love searching the scriptures, and discussing the word in context to learn as much as possible from it. I'm also very big into the spiritual gifts, but it never trumps my interest in the word. It's the basis upon which we build our Christian lives.

Btw, I forget exactly how many posts you need to make before they don't need to be cleared, but if you wanna interact more here rather than over at CFN, I'll certainly be happy to correspond with you : )

Blessings, and thanks again for joining!

Oh yes, where can we talk about the spiritual gifts?

On this site? Practically anywhere, LoL. But the best place would probably be here:

Most of the work there has been posted by Gabrielle, and she's probably the most knowledgeable about the gifts as a whole. I'm the most when it comes to dreams and dream interpretation. But let me know specifically what you would like to address and I'll see if we can't accommodate you : )

"The words I speak to you, they are Spirit and they are Life."

Why did Jesus prophesy, heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons? He performed signs and wonders to confirm the word (Mark 16:20), because it has the power to do more than just save from death. It has the power to grant eternal life (John 6:63). Scripture promises that He will confirm His word through signs and wonders once again (Joel 2:28), and what we teach may determine whether He does so through us or not, so study becomes extremely important. Please join us in studying verse by verse through entire books of the Bible. Understanding each verse in its theological and historical context as led by the Spirit is key to unlocking what the word actually teaches, and revealing what the Spirit is still speaking to the churches in these last days.
